For the longest of time I personally would not eat store bought fruits and veggies because of the wax and the chemicals used in preservation. The food just didn't taste right! Can I get an AMEN?!
When I began my Young Living adventure I had NO CLUE that the Fruit and Veggie Wash existed! Once I discovered it and began using it for the fresh fruit and veggies for my kiddos I IMMEDIATELY SAW the difference!! I was amazing to me that fruits and veggies could actually look like the pictures found in books and magazines! Broccoli is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL green when it is CLEAN!!
Okay, so I have spoken about the difference in appearance, but what about the taste? Oh My GOODNESS! I am happy to say that I am back to eating fruits and veggies and now LOVE the different taste and textures that are found in the vast array of goodness the Lord has so graciously blessed us with here on earth. Strawberries are a bright red and sweet as a can be while carrots, green onions, and even broccoli have never tasted so good!!
Thieves Fruit and Veggie wash is easy to use, doesn't take long, and does an AMAZING job getting things clean! A simple cap full (FYI it is a small cap) in a sink full of water is all it takes! Begin with the "least" dirty fruit and veggie and then continue through to your most dirty. For Example, I would start with celery, then carrots, then broccoli; broccoli is likely to lose some of the florets into the water. With berries, I would start with blueberries, then blackberries, raspberries, and then strawberries. A quick rinse and into the bowl for serving! It can't get much easier than that!!

I recently shared the following post on my social media but did not include how I get my kitchen sink so shiny and clean. The steps can be found in the bottom of the post.
So, it has been a bit, ok, almost forever, since the kitchen sink looked so clean and shiny I just had to share!
It is often covered in calcium and lime buildup, towering rinsed dishes in the right side and overflowing dirty dishes in the left side, both waiting on the dishwasher to be emptied; that can't be emptied until the counter is cleared, which is normally waiting on groceries to be put away and dirty dishes, pots, pans, glasses, and baking dishes to be moved closer to the already overwhelmed sink to create enough space to get the clean dishes out to stack, to then close the dishwasher to be able to reach the cabinets where the clean dishes belong. I know, TMI.
Are you envious of my shiny sink? And why am I sharing so openly?
Because I am REAL! I do have a messy life just like everybody else, it is a life filled with sin and repentance, daily. I don't plan on sinning, it just happens naturally, that is where my Savior Jesus Christ becomes my one and only superhero! Because of Jesus' crucifixion for me, and all sinners, God sees me through "Christ colored glasses"! Jesus took the punishment for my "little sins" and my "big sins", even though they are all the same in His eyes. He provided grace, mercy, and a path to a Heavenly eternity. Nothing is better than Jesus Christ and His love for me.
He takes my unintentionally destroyed and devastated kitchen and sink and makes shiny and new without hesitation! That is true love from my superhero!

How to get and maintain a "Shiny sink"
To remove lime, rust, calcium, and hard water stains I have found the following steps to be very effective.
1. Obviously, clear the sink.
2. Spray down the sink with Thieves Household Cleaner.
3. Lightly "dust" all surfaces with baking soda.
4. Lightly scrub, distributing the baking soda more evenly the surface.
5. Sprinkle citric acid across the surface causing a chemical reaction.
6. Let bubble, if more reaction needed spray with additional Thieves Household Cleaner or water.
7. Scrub with a washcloth. (If you have cuts or sensitive skin, I recommend having cleaning gloves on, citric acid hurts if there are open wounds.)
8. Rinse with water.
9. Dry with towel.
10. Enjoy your shiny sink!

I decided that this was the summer that our three children would not have daily access to electronics including but not limited to any game systems, tablets, phones, computers, and even the television! It challenged not only them but me as well. Now I had three children that needed to have activities to keep them busy and not fighting. I made sure to have something "fun" planned for everyday with the stipulation that they had to have clean rooms and the chores done in order to partake of the "fun" activity. Required chores were a very new concept to the kids and it took them awhile to understand that I meant what I said, "No fun until the chores are done!" This is a HUGE change from just a few years ago.
Before I was CONSTANTLY busy around the house, doing chores, cleaning, and taking care of EVERYTHING! I didn't really ever have the energy nor the motivation to do much, but did it anyway. I didn't like cleaning because I wouldn't feel well afterward and would often experience mental paralysis where I just could not focus on what the next task should be and my body would feel exhausted. I really wanted to do something different for cleaning supplies because I did not like having all of those toxins and chemicals in our home. I wanted our home to be a safe place for all of us.
When I was introduced to Young Living I began by diffusing Purification essential oil in our living room. I really liked the smell and I was hopeful to have found something to replace candles and air fresheners for our home, making it more child friendly! The diffuser did just that for me. No fear of a kid catching the house on fire from the candles, burning themselves on a wax burner, or inhaling the aerosol room freshener. It made this momma worry less. I did begin to notices something changing in the house. As we removed the candles, wax warmers, and air fresheners I was physically able to breathe easier and mentally I was able to focus better. I began doing more research and made many discoveries about all the nasty stuff in our commercial cleaners. I was heartbroken and devastated all at the same time, along with feeling like I had been betrayed by these companies. I mean, I knew not to let the kids help me clean when using any of them, but it was a game changer when I realized I could have stuff that cleans BETTER and is not causing any harm to my family and is actually helping with our overall wellness!!
